Ashton-in-Makerfield/PGA Pro Am - 8th August 2017
Tuesday 8th August 2017 heralded the 18th Annual Pro Am Tournament in conjunction with the North Region PGA. Some 25 teams of 3 amateurs and a PGA professional competed for excellent prizes, followed by a wonderful carvery. The weather behaved itself for the first hour or so and then heavy showers interspersed the afternoon.
The winning team was Global Team 3 - one of four sponsoed by Ashton Member Steve Woods (who unfortunately wasn't part of Team 3). Young professional John Brown had an excellent gross 65 to take the Pro's prize.
