Joan Ashton - Lady Captain 2019
It was an honour to be asked to be Lady Captain for 2019 and I am looking forward to the year ahead.
Our Ladies Section has grown over the last few years and any future new members will enjoy a warm welcome from all of us here at the club.
We have an excellent Ladies Social Section run by our Ladies Commitee with the help of our Lady members and many other social events, which is run by the House Committee.
Ashton-in-Makerfield Golf Club is known throughout the North West for its splendid parkland course. Our excellent club facilities and our staff within the club, shop, catering and greens are the best. We have returning societies to play our course, guests to our social evenings and others to private functions.
I wish you all a good golfing year and look forward to meeting you here at the club.

Hello Ladies
I was honoured when I was asked to be the President of our Ladies section for 2019/20.
It is now 15 years since I was your Captain and in 2019 I will have been a member of Ashton-in-Makerfield Golf Club for over 33 years.
Being a member of the section has given me many years of pleasure and many happy memories which I shall always cherish.
As your President I will do my best to keep up the standards set and would ask if anyone feels that I should be made aware of anything, such as a member who is sick or in need of a visit please do not hesitate to let me know so that I can follow it up. My phone number is 01744 892849.
