Men's Section

 It is my pleasure to accept the captaincy of Ashton-in-Makerfield for 2016/17 and would like to thank all Members for making me Captain of this fine Club and wonderful golf course of which we are proud.

Our parkland course with some narrow fairways and small greens can often be demanding, but will provide all golfers with a true test of their golfing skills. Afterwards we can take time to relax and reflect in the warm and friendly atmosphere of our clubhouse enjoying the hospitality of our Bar Manager Michelle and husband Phil, whilst sampling the wide range of meals offered by Greg our chef.

Whether novice or single handicapper, young or 'seasoned amateur', I recommend everyone to visit our resident Professional Peter Allen who can offer customised tuition either on course or in our fully equipped multi-media 'Swing Studio'.

As Members of Ashton-in-Makerfield Golf Club we enjoy a full calendar of golf competitions and a busy social diary of events. Please encourage your friends and colleagues to visit us either socially or to play golf. We trust that the course and the warm welcome they will receive from Members and staff alike will provide them with a memorable and enjoyable experience and one they will be keen to repeat.
